The Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), Bangalore was established in June 1991 to contribute to excellence in Management and Entrepreneurship education in India.

FOUNDING GROUP
The Institute was founded by a group of well-known educationists, who had made significant contributions in the fields of management and professional education in the country.
The President of XIME society is Prof.J.Philip, Founder Director of XIME and Former Director of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Former Dean of XLRI, Jamshedpur and the Founder President of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). In September 1998, the Association of Indian Management Schools had conferred on him the prestigious Ravi J Mathai National Fellow Award in Management for his outstanding life-time contribution to the cause of management education in India.

The Chairman of the Board of Governors of XIME is Mr. Sarosh J. Ghandy, Former Managing Director, Telcon Ltd. of TATA Group and Former Chairman of XLRI.

Quality and relevance in management education and service to industry and society were the key concerns of the founding group.

Mission of XIME
XIME is a non-profit organization whose primary objective is promotion of managerial competence in key sectors of society.
XIME strives to ensure that the management graduates it produces are not only efficient corporate managers but also responsible corporate citizens imbued with a positive set of values. It constantly reviews and updates its curriculum and pedagogy towards this end.
XIME is commited to the cause of upgrading the management quality in small scale and entrepreneurial organizations and pursues this commitment through special short duration programmes.
XIME believes that the social sector deserves priority for achieving balanced national development and manifests this belief through specially designed programmes for those working in the fields of education, health and social service.
In all that it does, XIME strives to promote ethical and moral values as well as respect for the composite culture and great traditions of the country.
