Eligibility

Candidates for XIME’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) are required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates). Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply. They should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the programme until that time. They should also complete all their degree examinations before 21st June, 2009.Such candidates are also required to provide proof of passing the degree examination with the minimum required marks, latest by 30th September 2009.

Admission Procedure

1. Obtain XIME Application Form & Programme Brochure

The above may be obtained from XIME on payment of Rs.750 in cash or DD favouring ‘XIME,Bangalore’ payable at Bangalore. Application forms can also be obtained from designated IMS learning centers or TIME centers. Alternatively, application form can be downloaded from the XIME website www.xime.org. Downloaded form may be filled up and sent along with the registration fee of Rs. 750/- in the form of a DD favouring ‘XIME, Bangalore’. Issuing application form begins : October 22, 2008.

2. Registration for XAT

  • Candidates also need to register and appear for XAT 2009 conducted by Xavier Labour     Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, on an all India basis at different centres on January     04, 2009.
  • XAT 2009 Form and other relevant details on XAT are available online at     http://www.xlri.edu/xat.
  • XIME is an Associate Member for this Test

    3. Registration for XIME Admission

  • Applicants desirous of joining XIME need to obtain the prescribed application form and register     for admission.
  • They should have appeared for the XAT admission test conducted by XLRI.
  • CAT candidates are also considered.
  • Applicants should indicate the XAT/CAT score for the year in the application form (if received).         If scores are not received at the time of filling up the application,a copy of the score card     must be sent by email / post so as to reach XIME latest by February 12, 2009. Otherwise the     application will not be considered.

  • XLRI has no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of XIME’s PGDM Programme

    Issue of application form begins : October 22, 2008

    Last date for issue of application from XIME : February 07, 2009

    Last date for submission of duly filled application to XIME : February 12, 2009

    (Last date to receive copy of XAT/CAT score card from the applicant is February 12, 2009. Otherwise the application will not be considered).

    Dates for Group Discussion / Interview : Between February 16, 2009 and February 28, 2009

    (Exact dates will be intimated to short-listed candidates)

    PGDM Programme Commences : Monday, June 22, 2009

    Fee Structure

    The programme fee (covering Admission, Tuition, Library, Computer Centre, Establishment,Text Books, Examinations, Diploma, Activities and Alumni Association Membership) is to be paid in eight instalments as indicated below:

    First Year

    Rs. 2,20,000 : Payable in four instalments (Rs. 55,000, 55,000, 55,000 and 55,000)

    Second year

    Rs. 2,30,000 : Payable in four instalments (Rs. 60,000, 60,000, 55,000 and 55,000) Dates for payment of fees will be announced at the beginning of the year.

    Caution Deposit

    A one time caution deposit of Rs. 15,000 is payable at the time of admission, which is refundable at the end of the programme, after deducting dues to XIME, if any.

    Additional Charges Payable

  • The Hostel Fees payable by each student will be approximately Rs. 5,000 per month which     includes loadging,boarding, electricity and water charges.
  • Students are expected to stay in the hostels, unelss exempted for any special reasons.

    Lap Top

  • It is necessary for every student to possess a laptop PC. The institute will happy to arrange for     the supply of the same, ensuring the required feature specifications of XIME. Alternatively the     student himself can arrange for the same. The cost of the laptop is estimated to be about     Rs.40000.

    Note
  • Fees must be paid on time. Delayed payments will attract penalty.
  • Fees once paid are not refundable.
  • Even in the case of a student’s failure / termination or withdrawal from the programme, no     refund of fees will be made.

    The Administration of Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship reserves the right to make any changes in the requirement and regulations for admission, regulations for continuing in the course or for graduation, contents of the courses, fees charged, regulations affecting students, programme administration, or make any suitable modifications in any provision of the course syllabus,hostel admissions or in any matter incidental or ancillary thereto, should these be deemed necessary in the interest of the students, the institute, or the profession. All matters of dispute shall be subject to the Jurisdiction of Courts of the City of Bangalore.
